Hailing from the Far East, Dunce Caps start as a low spreading mat of lovely small blue-gray rosettes. It soon forms a multitude of pinkish conical spires—think an elfin cityscape! By September the spires reach 6 inches tall with pink and white frilly flowers. Will die back after flowering but it self-sows to repeat the show next season. Perfect for containers, rock, fairy and vertical gardens. It may be small but what a show-stopper!
