Siouxland poplar is a “cotton-less cottonwood”. It is an extremely fast-growing tree that possesses a stately pyramidal form with a rounded top; the perfect shade tree for a large area. Leaves are heart-shaped and glossy green colored in the summer turning yellow in the fall. Prefers moist, well-drained soils to wet soils. Will tolerate occasional flooding or drought once established. Can tolerate alkaline and clay soils. Provide regular, deep watering.
