Little Duckling Clematis
3-6 feet tall
Full to Part Sun
Very heavy bloomer from top to bottom with medium-sized, 3-4″ flowers bearing mauve-pink with rosy striped petals. Starts blooming in late spring and repeats mid-summer to fall. Deadhead flowers after the first wave to encourage continuous blooming. Prune weak and unwanted growth in early spring. Requires well-drained soil, shaded roots and a support structure. Grows well in alkaline and neutral soils. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. A wonderful accent for arbors, trellises, pergolas, and small gardens. Please note the ASPCA considers clematis to be poisonous to horses, dogs, and cats.
